Sculptra Aesthetic: What Is It and How Does it Work?

Sculptra Aesthetic is a revolutionary treatment that has been helping patients to look their best for over 20 years. Learn about Sculptra and how it can help you with your cosmetic treatments!

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is a dermal filler that was first approved by the FDA in 2004 to treat lipoatrophy. It can be used for people living with HIV, who experience facial fat loss and deep folds on their face as part of the disease’s symptoms.

How does Sculptra work?

Sculptra provides a unique, non-surgical treatment that helps to replace lost volume in the skin. Sculptra is made up of poly-L-lactic acid microspheres suspended in solution, which help stimulate your body’s natural collagen growth process by acting as tiny scaffolding structures.

What are Sculptras results like?

Sculptra works gradually over time so you will see more dramatic results after multiple treatments within one year. Patients start seeing their desired effects after about three weeks and these last for two years on average.

You can return to normal activities right away with Sculptral Aesthetic injections since they provide an immediate improvement without any downtime or associated discomfort

Procedure for Sculptra:

On the day of your first Sculptra treatment, you’ll be asked to provide a complete medical history. Your doctor will map out injection sites on skin and cleanse around them before injecting in multiple small spots with anesthetic for pain relief. You should return home immediately afterward so that any special instructions can be followed closely by both parties involved – this is especially important if there are other treatments coming up soon!

Targeted areas for Sculptra:

Sculptra can be used to treat wrinkles, folds and lines on the face as well as other areas such as hands, arms and legs. Sculptra is also a great choice for acne scars since it helps rebuild collagen in damaged skin tissues.

Where do I go after receiving Sculptral Aesthetic injections?

You should stay out of direct sunlight after your first Sculptra treatment so that you don’t damage new cells or cause sun-related side effects like hyperpigmentation (your doctor will give you specific instructions). Also avoid tanning beds until your body has had time to recover from this injection!

Is Scultura safe?

Sculptural Aesthetics are considered FDA approved.

Are there any risks or side effects?

Some Sculptra patients experience swelling, bruising, tenderness and redness after Sculptral Aesthetic injections.

When will I see results?

You’ll notice a subtle difference in your skin immediately following Scultura therapy but you should schedule follow-up treatments to continue seeing great results! You may need between two and four sessions of Sculptural Aesthetics over the course of several months for optimal effects.
